01
The typical timeline
In the first two months, some people shed more than usual as follicles restart their growth cycle. Around months 3 to 4, fine new hairs may appear. By 6 to 12 months you'll have a good idea of how well it works for you.
If you've seen no change after 12 months of consistent use, talk to a pharmacist, GP or dermatologist about other options.

Tracking your progress
Take photos once a month in the same spot, light and angle, with dry hair styled the same way. Our free photo journal tool can help you keep them organised.
Frequently asked questions
When should you speak to a professional?+
Sudden, patchy or unexplained hair loss, or hair loss with other symptoms, should be assessed by a GP, pharmacist or dermatologist. A significant reaction after applying a product also warrants prompt advice.
Why is the patient information leaflet so important?+
Strength, frequency, indications and precautions vary by product. The leaflet for the product you are using always takes priority over general advice.
